General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for hotel reservations – Rinderberg Lodge, Zweisimmen

  1. Scope of application

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) govern the contractual relationship between the guest (hereinafter “Guest”) and the Rinderberg Lodge in Zweisimmen (hereinafter “Lodge”) with regard to the booking and use of rooms and services of the Lodge.

  1. Conclusion of contract

A binding contract between the guest and the Rinderberg Lodge is concluded upon booking by telephone, e-mail, online platform or in person on site. With the booking, the guest accepts these GTC.

  1. Prices and terms of payment

All prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF), including VAT. The Lodge reserves the right to adjust prices at any time. Prices cannot be changed after the booking has been confirmed. Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be made at the latest on check-out. The Lodge reserves the right to request advance payment or a credit card guarantee for certain bookings.

  1. Arrival and departure

Check-in is possible on the day of arrival between 15:00 and 16:30 possible. Later arrival is only possible by prior arrangement.

Check-out must be completed on the day of departure by 10:30 am. An additional fee may be charged for late check-out.

  1. Cancellation and no-show

Cancellations must be sent in writing to rinderberg-lodge@bergbahnen-gstaad.ch. The following conditions apply:

  • Individual bookings:

Cancellation free of charge up to 24 hours before arrival, 12 noon the day before.

In the event of a later cancellation or no-show, 100%of the total amount will be charged.

  • Group bookings (from 5 rooms):

Cancellation free of charge up to 7 days before arrival.

In the event of a later cancellation or no-show, 100%of the total amount will be charged.

Special arrangements for public holidays, events or arrangements are agreed individually and confirmed in writing.

  1. Shortening your stay or early departure

In the event of late arrival or early departure, the full booking amount will be charged in accordance with the confirmed reservation.

  1. Liability

The Rinderberg Lodge accepts no liability for theft or loss of personal belongings. The guest is fully liable for any damage caused by the guest to the inventory or in the rooms.

  1. Data protection

Personal data is treated confidentially and is only used to process bookings and for internal purposes. Data will only be passed on to third parties if there is a legal obligation to do so or to fulfill the contract.

  1. Force majeure

If the stay cannot take place or can only take place to a limited extent due to force majeure (e.g. natural events, official orders, epidemics), the lodge is entitled to withdraw from the contract. A claim for compensation is excluded.

  1. Place of jurisdiction and applicable law

Swiss law shall apply exclusively. Place of jurisdiction is  3770 Zweisimmen, Switzerland.
